Riding Horses at Gma & Gpa's

Last weekend while Brian was working I took the kids to Edgewood to my parents house. They had been asking for a while to go out there and ride so we finally did. We could have chosen a better day for weather, (it was windy which made it very cold)but that didn't stop us from having fun!

I think Hayley is going to be the horse lover. All the kids got to ride but Hayley couldn't get enough. My cousin Abbey was the official ride-giver sporting the lovely green jacket. She lives next door to my parents and is really good with my kids.

Gage had fun riding with Abbey from the barn up the hill to my parents house(maybe a half mile).

When I told Gage we were going to ride he gathered all his cowboy paraphernalia and just had to bring it. Here he is enjoying his rifle.

Hannah got to trot and she loved it. She laughed I think through the entire ride. (If you look close you can see her leg getting air from the bounciness)

Bode wasn't to sure about riding and especially not with Abbey. So Hayley, being the great big sister that she is, jumped back on the horse to give Bode his ride. (And of course you need a cell phone when riding a horse)

My awesome Dad saddled another horse so that I could ride with the kids. (This is the best pic you get with Hayley behind the camera)

I wish I would have taken you up on the offer to have Emily come ride horses. Next time you go and you are willing to have some tag alongs we would love to come. Sorry the day was so cold.
